I've learned from some of the best in the field. But one thing I've found that will never change, you can have all the technical knowledge in the world.
But, without a good ear. Your knowledge does nothing for you or whomsoever is on stage.
During the 2000's I started giving extra attention to the artists who were recording the shows live, on what gear they were utilizing. I then purchased a system.
In turn, now; being able to give affordable professional service in the live mix and recording fields.
Catering to many areas, other than music.

2008 was the inception of MPD Mobile Recording.

A table, 1 power outlet, a back room or 50' from stage or stage side is good for this system.

I put more work into a project than what I charge for every time.
Both in Live performances, as well as; recording and editing.
You supply the pa system, to save you more $$.
